All I did in the delivery room was lie down-since I'm in complete bed rest.I don't have anyone with me except my nurse and some other pregnant women.
The DR(in the Philippines) isn't a place you would like- well, for me. Why?
First, NO VISITORS are allowed. If someone would visit, they are allowed to stay for only 5 minutes.
Second, NO PRIVACY. In one room there are 2- 3 beds.
Third, I'm not allowed to go to the bathroom! So the nurses provide a bedpan for me to urinate or poop. EEEW...
Fourth,I can't take a bath since I'm not allowed to get off my bed!
Fifth, I have to undergo lots of injections!Especially the IV !One trainee made a mistake in inserting my IV she had to repeat the procedure all over again.Other injections were also given. Another was for the maturity of my baby's lungs in case I would be delivering him earlier than his expected date to come out.
My doctor told me that I have slight contractions which is not good. Contractions you see should only happen when your in Labor, meaning, the babies coming out. So I have to stay longer in the DR for close monitoring.
I was on a low salt low fat diet since my blood pressure is higher than my normal.
After a few days my contractions subsided, and may doctor instructed me to go home the next following day.
I was so excited to leave the hospital. You'll never imagine how boring it is stay in bed for more than two days.
